When can I start a course?

If you have no Spanish knowledge at all, we recommend you to start on the official starting dates of our calendar.
If you have some knowledge, you can start on any Monday, although it is not an official starting date, coding courses

How can I know my Spanish level?

On the first course day the students write an online exam to be placed in the adecuate level.

When do the courses start and finish?

The courses are from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m.. In summer, we establish different time tables, depending on the number of students. Courses start on Mondays and finish on Fridays except public holidays.

What do I need to take to class on the first day?

You only need something to write and a dictionary for personal use. All the other material used in class will be handed out.

What professional and educational background do the teachers have?

We count on a team of experienced teachers in the field of the Spanish as a Foreign language and Culture, with University degrees in Disciplines such as Spanish and English Philology, Philosophy, Journalism and Pedagogical Sciences.

Are public holidays re-schedule?

If there are 2 public holidays in a two week session that figures as such in our official course calendar, one of them will be re-scheduled on several school days.

When do I have access to the accommodation and when do I have to leave?

Accomodations are available from the day before the course starts (usually Sundays) until the Saturday(noon) after the course finishes.

What are the criteria for occupying the students apartments?

Usually students of similar ages, length of stay and different nationalities use to share the flat.

How many students share one flat?

3 to 5 students share one flat, either in single or double rooms.

When do I receive the address of my accommodation?

You receive the address of your accommodation on the day of your arrival. Only the addresses of the families are given two weeks before the course starts.Official postal address of all students is that of C/O

Where are the apartments?

They are within a few minutes' walk from school.In summer the walking distance can be 15 or 20 minutes due to the higher demand of apartments

Are there additional cost for the apartments?

No, extra costs for gas, electricity and water are included.

Do I have to bring towels and bedsheets?

You have to bring towels and a beach towel but you need not bring bedsheets, they are provided by the school.

Can I prepare meals in the apartments?

Yes, The kitchens are equipped for preparing and having meals.

How are the apartments equipped?

They usually have living-room with TV-set, equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and 2 to 3 bedrooms, and washing machine.

Can I extend my stay in the accommodation after the course?

In the summer months, it is not possible to extend the bookings for accommodation because we have to guarantee in a first place the stay of course participants.

What are the activities offered by the institute?

We offer free activities such as flamenco dancing, cooking lessons, cultural visits, workshops on different topics related to the Spanish culture, tutorials with study help; you have free access to Internet, library and videotheque.
You can join weekend trips organised by an agency at reasonable rates to places of interest in our region www.beautylaser.cc.

Will the school help me to apply for a VISA?

Whoever has to apply for a visa and needs a written confirmation of the Picasso- Institute, has to pay the whole course fee in advance plus the enrolment fee of 40 Euros, and a pre-payment for the shared apartment of 60 Euros or half of the rate for one month of homestay with a family or a mini-apartment.
The enrolment has to be made 10 weeks in advance, otherwise the student has to cover the costs for Express mail. If the visa is refused, we reimburse the amount deducting the enrolment fee of 40 Euros, after receiving a copy of the embassy's notification of the visa denial. If you cancel your language stay less than 4 weeks before the course starts, we keep the enrolment fee and the 60 Euro pre-payments for course and accommodation.

Will I have the possibility of exploring Malaga and experience the Spanish culture and nightlife?

In coordination with the Excursion to Granada by Spanish language school PicassoTourist Board of Malaga, we schedule cultural visits for our students who will be accompanied by a tour guide for free.  A welcome-drink or a farewell party of all the courses help students and teachers to get acquainted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. For the week-ends, we suggest excursions to places of cultural and tourist interest, accompanied by a teacher who is your guide: Granada, Córdoba, Sevilla, White Villages, Ronda.

How can I pay course and accommodation?

By credit card (Visa, Master...) stating the credit card number and the expiring date, via phone, fax or e-mail. Or by bank transfer (mode of payment: OUR) to the account of Instituto Picasso:

What happens if I have to cancel my stay?

Cancellation has to be communicated at least four weeks before the course starts. In this case the prepayment is refunded (except the enrolment fee of 40 €). If you cancel less than four weeks before you join the course, no refund is possible.

How can I make the bookings of course and accommodation?

For enrolments, fill in the online form. The school confirms enrolment by e-mail, fax or ordinary mail. How do I get to my accommodation? Can I get transfer?

We offer a Pick up service from the airport to the accommodation. This service costs 35 Euros (plus extra rate of 12 Euros from 24:00 to 8:00), The transfer from the accommodation to the airport costs 25 Euros (extra cost from 24:00 to 08:00: 12 Euros). If you require this pick up service, please inform us about your departure airport/s, the airline, your flight number and arrival hour, local time. The pick up service includes that the driver waits for you in the airport building at the meeting point in front of the Unicaja bank counter next to the cafeteria which is left hand once you have passed one of the two exits from the luggage belt hall to the public waiting hall.  The driver can be a young man or woman wearing a red Picasso-t-shirt The driver will also wait for you, if the plane is delayed, furthermore s/he will help you if there are any other problems at the airport, and s/he will take you to your accommodation. You can pay the 32 Euros on the first course day in the school office.

 What is the participants age?

Our minimum age is 16 with adult company, the majority are between 18 and 35. There is no maximum age and all ages 40+, 50+, 60+, ... are represented.

  Will I get my money back if I change my mind to go?

Your notified about cancellation should be by registered post no later than 4 weeks before the course begins. Within this time limit the initial deposit will be returned (except the enrolment fee). If you do not keep this time limit, refund isn´t possible. If the student abandons the course before it ends, or leaves the accommodation he has booked and has had access is not entitled to any refund.
